A real failure, and what happened next

The server this system ran on for months went dark without warning. Most AI setups would have lost everything — every conversation, every learned preference, every scheduled task.

I had already migrated the entire memory — 6.2GB, 74,950 conversations — to a second machine, checksum-verified byte-for-byte, days before it happened. When the original server died, nothing was lost. The system kept remembering, kept running, without the person using it even noticing a gap.

That's the actual product: not a chatbot that forgets you every session, but an operator that survives the infrastructure under it failing.
